Roofer pilot terms
Version 3.0 pilot. These terms describe the no-charge pilot operated by Get Local Jobs Ltd, trading as Compare Roofers.
1. The service
Compare Roofers introduces homeowners to roofing businesses. Homeowners browse profiles, choose up to three businesses and send one enquiry to their chosen businesses. An enquiry is not exclusive, a booked appointment or a guarantee of contact, a quotation or paid work.
2. The pilot and charges
New quote requests are free to participating roofers during this pilot. No payment card is required for the pilot and these requests do not trigger a charge. A paid service would require separate, clearly stated pricing and terms accepted before charges begin. Any earlier transactions remain separate from this pilot.
3. Your profile
You must provide accurate company, contact, service and coverage information, and have permission to use the photos and materials you upload. Accreditation, insurance and review claims must be supported by genuine evidence. Our team reviews profiles before approving them and may ask for more information, pause or remove a listing. Approval is not an endorsement of every quotation or piece of work.
4. Receiving enquiries
You only receive enquiries the homeowner sends to your business. Keep your service areas, job types, enquiry preferences and contact email current. Pause new enquiries when you cannot take work. Pausing does not remove enquiries already received. We do not offer a calendar or automatically send unchosen homeowners to you.
5. Contact and roofing work
Respond professionally and use the enquiry to discuss the homeowner's stated project. Agree any visit, quotation, contract and payment directly with the homeowner. You are responsible for your advice, insurance, qualifications, quotations and work. Compare Roofers does not carry out, supervise or guarantee roofing work and is not a party to that roofing contract.
6. Personal information
Use the homeowner's information only to handle their enquiry and any resulting relationship as permitted by applicable data protection law. Do not resell it or pass it to other contractors or marketing lists. Protect account access and personal information, and tell us promptly if you become aware of unauthorised access. Our privacy notice explains how we handle information.
7. Problems and ending participation
Contact us about inaccurate enquiries, delivery problems, account access or a wish to leave the pilot. We may pause or remove profiles where information is inaccurate, rules are breached or there is a safety concern. Existing obligations to homeowners and lawful handling of information continue after participation ends.
